Tea Ceremony

Weekly Tea Sessions

In the Mountain Studio at Zoë Dojo, Fern Tree.

Helena has been a student of Cha Dao, or the way of tea, for over 8 years and continues to learn and cultivate herself through personal practice, study and sharing in group ceremonial sessions in Hobart.

Tea as a practice of self-cultivation offers a pathway to not only explore the art of tea and tea preparation, but to deepen ones relationship with themselves and the natural world, learn how to listen to the elements, build heartfelt connection to community and come home to the stillness of a unified mind and body.

It is a practice of refinement, sensitivity and equanimity.

Each session is intentionally kept small to maintain intimacy and limited to 7 attendees.

  • Attending a tea ceremony with Helena is often the highlight of my week. From the moment I arrive, I’m able to take a deep exhale and feel completely held by the beautiful, warm, comfortable, intimate, and grounded space she creates. It’s not often I experience the kind of clarity and co-regulation that comes through during her ceremonies, and I always walk away feeling completely rejuvenated and centered. I’m so grateful for this offering.

  • Helena brings such a calm and peaceful presence to tea ceremony. I always feel deeply held in ceremony with her. Her knowledge and understanding of the deeper layers of tea are felt in the way she so naturally and intuitively facilitates, creating a space that feels both grounding and deeply nourishing.

  • Rain falling on the large windows, mist and cloud rolling low over the mountain, the warm fire crackling in the corner, and Helena gently offering hot tea to a small number of appreciate guests. This is a beautiful place to simply ‘be’ in the world and let noise fade away. Thankyou Helena for providing the perfect setting to reconnect with what’s important!
